3.  Communicate openly: If circumstances change, inform those impacted and renegotiate the commitment.
4.  Hold yourself accountable: Share your commitments with a trusted colleague or mentor to increase accountability.

Making Follow-Through a Habit

Building a reputation as a leader who follows through requires consistent effort.  Here’s how to make it part of your leadership DNA:

Prioritise: Identify the key promises that will have the greatest impact and focus on those first.
Check in regularly: Review your commitments and adjust as necessary.
Ask for feedback: Seek input from your team on how well you’re following through and where you can improve.
