Meet Kevin

Kevin is a global leader turned executive coach with over 25 years of experience leading high-performing teams across Australia, the U.S., and Canada.  As the founder of True North Executive Coaching & Leadership, Kevin partners with executives, founders, and senior leaders to unlock their full potential, navigate change, and lead with impact.

The name True North draws on Kevin’s rich professional and personal journey, anchored in Canada, where he led transformative business growth, and now based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.  But there’s a personal side too; Kevin has lived and led in both places, and both are connected by one powerful symbol: pine trees that straddle the coastlines.  They stand strong in the toughest conditions.  They adapt to their environment.  And they always reach upward. That’s what True North is about: helping leaders find their direction and grow, no matter the challenges ahead.

It also reflects his belief that great leadership starts with a deep connection to your values and purpose.  Just like a compass pointing to True North, it symbolises unwavering direction amidst change, helping leaders stay aligned and navigate with confidence.

Kevin’s leadership journey is rooted in real-world experience.  He was instrumental in launching Horizon Media’s first international expansion, growing its Toronto office into an award-winning, people-first agency recognised for culture, retention, and innovation.  Throughout his career, he has led multi-million-dollar brands, scaled businesses, and built teams known for trust, collaboration, and creativity.

Known for his warm, dynamic presence and quick wit, Kevin brings a grounded, human approach to leadership.  He doesn’t take himself too seriously, but he takes the work seriously.  His coaching style blends empathy and understanding with a performance-oriented mindset, challenging clients to grow while creating space for honest reflection, clarity, and breakthrough thinking.

Beyond coaching, Kevin has served on the board of Vividata (Canada’s leading media and consumer research authority), mentored future leaders at Sheridan College’s Pilon School of Business, and remains an active contributor to the leadership and business community.

Kevin holds a Diploma in Business Advertising from Holmesglen, a Degree in Business Management from the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (formerly TOPNZ), and is currently completing a Degree in Professional Coaching with the Australian Institute of Professional Coaching (AIPC).  This blend of formal education and lived leadership experience deepens his ability to connect, challenge, and support leaders at every stage of their journey.
